Congratulations, you've found the most visionary new concept in development in Central America. Solar Vistas consist of eight hilltop lots, each with more than an acre
of land, located 8-10 minutes by car from the picture-perfect beaches of Malpais and Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, recently voted by Forbes Magazine as one of the
top ten most beautiful beach areas in the world.
Solar Vistas is being built on 5 hectares (12 acres) of cattle field, which is being reforested with rare and endangered hardwood trees to create more habitat for
local jungle wildlife, while preserving the best views for the owners of the lots. We believe that when designed correctly, a development can harmonize life
between humans and nature, and we are set on proving that with Solar Vistas.
Our development is being created as a giant work of livable art - houses with great beauty, energy conservation, and utility to create an ecstatic day to day living experience. The Solar Vistas eco-houses will use electricity provided solely by the sun. The designs will maximize shade to keep the structures cool, and encourage air-flow through each room. Hot spots in the house will be combined in a special room for drying clothes. Whenever possible, local woods and materials will be used, as well as chemical free paints and stuccos so that your health will be protected. These houses will use all the best knowledge and technology of the "green building" movement, or at least those features that apply in the tropics and can be accomplished in our part of Costa Rica. They will be built to last, with minimal maintenance in this tropical climate, to maximize your free time.
In addition to the reforestation on the property, we are constructing an artificial lake, to be stocked with Tilapia fish. The lake will be surrounded by organic fruit trees - oranges, limes, lemons, grapefruit, bananas, and wonderful tropical fruit trees you will delight in discovering: plantains, tamarindos, breadfruit, guava, and many others. You will also be able to enjoy organic herbs - cilantro, basil, rosemary, lemongrass, and oregano, as well as fresh organic veggies that grow well here such as cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach, and more.
The development will include a community "chill space", with a barbecue area and swimmming pool. This house will also include bedrooms with space for extra guests that may not fit in your own house.
